K.M. Alleena, an award-winning, internationally published poet, is also a recent graduate from the Creative Writing program from SUNY Oswego (’15) and had Anthropology and Native American Studies as her minors. She tends to write poetry while singing in the shower, and fiction whenever something out in the world seems inspiring. When she isn’t creating, she practices fountain pen calligraphy with the coolest inks, enjoys playing old video games and talks to parrots, often all simultaneously. She has been published in her campus literary journal, the Great Lake Review, Sediments Literary-Arts Journal, and also was a winner of Miracle Magazine’s Poetry Competition 2013 as well as SUNY Oswego’s Speak Up and SLAM! Spoken word poetry event.
